Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Truck Service Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in leading the Truck Service department across multiple locations. You will guide technicians through troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs, ensuring safe, high‑quality service and customer satisfaction.

The role emphasizes people leadership, recruiting and training staff, meeting performance standards, managing operations and finances, and maintaining safety and vendor relations.

Qualifications

• Leadership demonstrated in team environments.

• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire team to meet performance standards in Truck Service.
• Coach and manage staff according to company policy.
• Recruit, hire, train and retain quality team members.
• Assist technicians through troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy duty trucks and trailers.
• Conduct visual inspections to ensure products and services are available.
• Help achieve financial objectives through effective management of people, product, service and facility processes including revenue focus.
• Adhere to safety standards and vendor relationship guidelines.
