Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Truck Service Advisor to deliver first-rate service at our nationwide TA Truck Service centers. You will write work orders, process OTC transactions, and handle payments while promoting parts and services to keep travelers on the road.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, strong verbal and written communication skills, cashier and customer service experience, and the ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Previous cashier and customer service experience; parts shop experience preferred.
• Professional appearance and strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong suggestive selling capabilities and basic computer skills.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Write, detail, and process (pay out) Work Orders and OTC transactions.
• Secure Purchase Orders and prepare quotes for customers.
• Source parts from outside vendors and coordinate delivery.
• Maintain clean service counters, showroom, and restrooms.
• Ensure safety of customers and team members.
• Provide first-rate service and upsell services to travelers.
• Prepare end-of-shift drop and shift reports.
