Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Truck Service Advisor to join its national TA Truck Service team. You will write work orders, process OTC transactions, and provide knowledgeable product guidance to customers in a fast-paced service environment.

You’ll use your cash handling and computer skills to quote customers, coordinate parts, and ensure safety and cleanliness while delivering excellent service. A high school diploma and strong communication are required; weekend availability is a plus.

Qualifications

• A dedicated individual who works well with others.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous cashier and customer service experience; experience in repair or parts shop preferred.
• Presents self in a professional manner to customers, management, and coworkers.
• Strong suggestive selling skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays in interior and exterior conditions.
• A valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Write, detail and process work orders and OTC transactions.
• Prepare ETA work orders, secure purchase orders and communicate quotes to customer.
• Source parts from outside vendors and coordinate delivery.
• Prepare end of shift drop and shift report; understand payment types.
• Maintain cleanliness of service counters, showroom, and restrooms.
• Ensure the safety of customers and team members.
• Provide high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.
