Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, air brakes, HVAC, suspension and drive trains. You will service vehicles on-site and provide road service as needed.

The role requires diagnosing multi-system issues, following work order standards, and applying 3–5 years of technician experience.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• 3–5 years of technician experience diagnosing and repairing gasoline and diesel equipment.
• ASE certifications (T1–T8) are a plus but not required.
• Commercial Driver’s License is a plus but not required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose multi-system issues and perform preventative/repair maintenance on Class 1–8 vehicles.
• Repair and maintain chassis components, refuse bodies, hydraulic/electrical systems, brakes, and HVAC.
• Perform line maintenance welding and fabrication and provide road service when necessary.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic tools and complete required company training.
