Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems. You will work under supervision to diagnose issues, perform engine, HVAC, braking, and drive train maintenance, and support drivers on routes.

The role requires 3-5 years of technician experience or graduation from an automotive college/technical school, with CDL and ASE credentials being a plus.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues with strong technical skills.
• Experience with heavy-duty trucks and automotive systems.
• ASE certifications are a plus but not required.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs chassis components, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Performs line maintenance welding and fabrication.
• Provides road service when needed to keep equipment operational.
• Identifies malfunctions using diagnostic tools and completes training programs.
