Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a seasoned VDC leader for a full-time traveling assignment supporting advanced technology projects, including data centers, pharmaceutical, and manufacturing markets. Lead the VDC department, guiding preconstruction, engineering, and field installation efforts across office locations.

You will manage budgets, workforce planning, and talent development while collaborating with HR and Finance to optimize VDC capabilities and deliverables for RFP responses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 8+ years of VDC/construction experience.
• Deep knowledge of VDC tools, cost data, scheduling, and coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, and schedules.
• Strong budget forecasting, performance monitoring, and decision-making skills.
• Proven leadership in managing non-direct reports and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the VDC department across office locations and projects.
• Oversee budgets, forecasting, actuals, and profitability metrics.
• Develop workforce plans including hiring, capacity planning, and assignments.
• Collaborate with HR for talent pipelines and internal leadership development.
• Draft and approve VDC action plans and align with RFP requirements.
• Coordinate with Finance and Ops to maximize VDC cost recovery.
• Visit sites to support VDC setup and resolve service issues.
• Drive continuous improvement of VDC tools and processes.
