Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks a seasoned VDC leader for a full-time traveling assignment supporting advanced technology projects, including data centers, pharmaceutical, industrial/manufacturing, and EV/battery/renewables sectors. You will manage the VDC department across office locations and lead preconstruction, engineering, and field installation of VDC deliverables.

This role requires coordinating with HR, developing staffing plans, and driving continuous improvement through VDC

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, VDC, Architecture or Engineering with 8+ years of related experience.
• Thorough knowledge of VDC tools and applications in construction, cost, scheduling, estimating, and coordination principles.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules.
• Able to forecast and manage to budget.
• Advanced project management expertise and ability to implement processes.
• Knowledgeable about industry trends and able to network with related organizations.

Responsibilities

• Manage VDC department, office, and project budgets, including forecasting and actuals for resources and software/hardware purchases.
• Develop workforce plans for staff resources including hiring, capacity planning, and assignments.
• Oversee VDC staff resources, performance, and development; identify training needs.
• Collaborate with HR Talent Acquisition and Hiring teams on staffing requirements and candidate selection feedback.
• Draft and approve VDC action plans and schedules aligned with project goals and RFP requirements.
• Maintain open communication with VDC leadership to ensure alignment with office strategies.
• Visit job sites to assist with project setup and troubleshoot VDC issues with stakeholders.
