Garney is seeking a Safety Manager for heavy civil projects in the Mesa, AZ area. The role focuses on prioritizing safety on water and sewer pipeline projects, requiring strong regulatory knowledge and field leadership.

Responsibilities include implementing safety regulations, conducting site training, performing inspections, and leading incident investigations. Travel to project sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, construction engineering, construction management, or a safety-related degree preferred.
• OSHA 30 Certification in Construction.
• Must have or be able to obtain CHST within 6 months of employment.
• Willing to travel and/or relocate.

Responsibilities

• Review, implement, and assist with safety regulations and standards for project management and field personnel.
• Conduct safety training for job site personnel.
• Conduct daily safety inspections to identify, document, and correct safety hazards.
• Conduct accident and incident investigations.
