Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines is seeking a Recruiter to support Service Centers with recruitment, hiring, training and onboarding of quality candidates. The role involves travel to multiple centers, career fairs and hiring events to build a strong candidate pipeline.

You will partner with the Recruiting Manager, source candidates via social media, job boards and referrals, conduct interviews, and coordinate interviews for Hiring Managers.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Experience conducting interviews and reviewing applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Willingness to travel to various Service Centers, Career Fairs, School or Club presentations, and hiring events.
• Collaborate with the Recruiting Manager to align recruiting strategies to meet goals.
• Develop and source a strong pipeline of candidates using social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, employee referrals, search agencies, etc.
• Review applications for candidates at various levels.
• Recruit hourly employees and Interns.
• Interview applicants both in-person and virtually.
• Set up interviews for Hiring Managers.
• Follow up with candidates during the interview process.
• Advance candidates through the Interview and Hiring Process in ATS.
• Create Training Schedule for new employees.
• Assist new hires with onboarding and orientation at the Service Center level.
• Train new Service Center employees.
• Maintain communication with Service Center leadership on staffing needs.
• Other duties as assigned
