Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines, Inc. is seeking a Recruiter to support service centers in recruiting, hiring, training and onboarding of quality candidates.

Travel to various service centers, career fairs, school presentations, and hiring events is required. The recruiter will develop sourcing pipelines via social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, referrals and agencies, review applications, and interview hourly employees and interns.

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
• Experience conducting interviews and reviewing applications is a plus
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Previous HR/Recruiting experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Willingness to travel to various Service Centers, Career Fairs, School or Club presentations, and hiring events
• Collaborate with the Recruiting Manager to align recruiting strategies to meet goals
• Develop and source a strong pipeline of candidates using a variety of methods including social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, employee referrals, search agencies, etc
• Reviewing applications for candidates at various levels
• Recruiting hourly employees and Interns
• Interviewing applicants both in-person and virtually
• Setting up interviews for Hiring Managers
• Advancing candidates through the Interview and Hiring Process in applicant tracking system
• Creating Training Schedule for new employees
• Assisting new hires with on-boarding and orientation at the Service Center level
• Training new Service Center employees
• Maintaining communication with Service Center leadership on staffing needs
• Other duties as assigned
