Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines is seeking a Recruiter to support Service Centers in recruitment, hiring, training and onboarding of quality candidates.

The role requires travel to various centers, career fairs and events, collaborating with the Recruiting Manager, building pipelines via social media and job boards, and handling interviews and scheduling. You will also train new employees and assist with onboarding in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience conducting interviews and reviewing applications a plus.
• Strong computer skills, including Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Travel to Service Centers, career fairs, school or club presentations, and hiring events.
• Collaborate with Recruiting Manager to align recruiting strategies with goals.
• Develop and source a strong candidate pipeline via social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, referrals, agencies.
• Review applications for candidates at various levels.
• Recruit hourly employees and interns.
• Interview applicants in-person and virtually; set up interviews for Hiring Managers.
• Follow up with candidates during the interview process.
• Advance candidates through the interview and hiring process in ATS.
• Create training schedules for new employees.
• Assist new hires with onboarding and orientation at Service Center level.
• Train new Service Center employees.
• Maintain communication with Service Center leadership on staffing needs.
• Other duties as assigned.
