Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Traveling Project Manager 1 - Justice to help manage and lead projects for Justice clients across the United States. The role involves directing project teams, coordinating with subcontractors, owners, and design teams, and ensuring safety, schedule, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in construction management, a bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field, and experience with large justice/corrections

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years construction management experience.
• Experience on large Justice/Corrections projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads all aspects of safety culture and mentors staff to an injury-free environment.
• Manages the prestart/preconstruction processes and schedule development.
• Coordination with trade contractors, vendors, and design teams on scope and changes.
• Reviews submittals, shop drawings, and samples; ensures timely submission to architects/engineers.
• Develops and maintains project schedule using Lean practices; tracks resources.
• Gathers pricing, prepares change requests, and communicates budget status and risks.
• Leads project meetings (monthly reviews, OAC) and closeout activities.
