Job summary

JE Dunn Construction seeks a Traveling Project Manager 1 – Justice to lead complex court and corrections projects nationwide. You will drive safety culture, coordinate preconstruction activities, manage subcontractors, and deliver on-time, on-budget results across multiple sites.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in construction management, experience in justice/corrections, and strong leadership in planning, risk analysis and client relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• In lieu of the above, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• 5+ years construction management experience.
• Prior experience on large or complex Justice / Corrections projects (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead all safety culture initiatives and mentor staff.
• Manage prestart and preconstruction tasks including scope development and bids.
• Coordinate buyout, pricing, subcontract issuance and schedule.
• Oversee submittal schedules and ensure shop drawings are approved.
• Coordinate with logistics for material pricing and procurement.
• Perform risk analysis and provide regular project status reporting.
• Develop and update project schedules using Lean principles.
• Close out projects with documentation, warranties, and final reporting.
