Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking a Class A Lineman to construct and repair overhead distribution systems. You will work on energized and de-energized lines, travel to various job sites, and report to the Foreman.

Responsibilities include leading crews, training apprentices, installing hardware, and performing live-line work with proper safety protocols. Must be able to work outdoors in varying conditions and be available for outages and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Overhead line experience for construction, maintenance and repair.
• CDL required or equivalent license.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Extended hours, weekends, holidays and emergency callouts.

Responsibilities

• Construct and repair overhead distribution systems while maintaining safety first.
• Lead crew in the absence of the Supervisor and conduct pre-job safety briefings.
• Train apprentices and groundmen on safety and technique.
• Install/repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators and hardware.
• Perform live-line work using PPE and insulation techniques.
