Job summary

Pike Electric LLC seeks a Class A Lineman to build and repair overhead distribution systems. Jobs may require travel to out-of-state sites and will involve working on energized and de-energized lines with safety as a priority.

You will report to the Foreman and may mentor apprentices, operate bucket trucks and carry equipment as needed. Position requires CDL, endurance for long hours and willingness to respond to outages and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of overhead line experience required.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to work outside regular hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Lead crew when the supervisor is unavailable and conduct safety briefings.
• Train apprentices and ground crew members.
• Install and repair overhead lines, poles, insulators and conductors.
• Follow switch, grounding and hot-line procedures using proper tools and PPE.
