Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC seeks a Class A Lineman to construct and repair overhead distribution systems on energized and de-energized lines, with travel to various job sites as needed. You will report to the Foreman and be part of a safety-first team capable of outages, storms, and emergency callouts.

Essential duties include leading crews, training apprentices, installing/repairing lines and hardware, and operating bucket trucks and related equipment.

Qualifications

• Five years of overhead line experience.
• Valid CDL is required.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work extended hours and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Lead crew in the absence of the Employee in Charge and conduct safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles and hardware.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks and related equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying conditions and respond to outages or emergencies.
• Perform live-line work using appropriate PPE and tools, including fault locating.
• Follow safety protocols and insulation practices.
