Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Traveling Superintendent 2 - Justice to guide safety, scheduling, budgeting and field operations on justice and corrections projects across the United States. You will lead teams, manage subcontractors and ensure quality and on‑time completion with a focus on Lean construction practices.

The role requires 5+ years of construction experience, 3+ years in supervision, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in construction management or related field.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field preferred.
• 5+ years construction experience.
• 3+ years field supervision experience.
• Experience with Lean principles preferred.
• Prior experience working on large or complex Justice / Corrections construction project (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the project safety culture and mentor staff to maintain an injury-free environment.
• Manage subcontractors and organize overall job workflow.
• Oversee company staff, subcontractors, suppliers and programs like Safety, Quality and EEO.
• Develop work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinate and manage project site care, custody, and control.
• Lead meetings including daily standups and weekly trade meetings.
• Attend and manage project reviews and progress meetings.
• Create and manage the project schedule with the Project Manager.
• Track and monitor budgets and costs using project cost reports.
