Job summary

IES Communications seeks a General Superintendent to lead large, complex projects onsite, ensuring safety, quality, and financial performance. The role oversees staff, subcontractors, equipment, and processes to deliver outcomes on time and within budget.

It requires extensive supervisory experience, telecom/construction background, and travel to project sites. This is a full-time direct hire with competitive pay and benefits after 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years’ supervisory or managerial experience.
• The General Superintendent must have at least three years’ experience as a Lead Communications Technician or similar position.
• Minimum five years’ experience in telecommunications or related technical/construction field.
• Proficient with a computer and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
• Must meet Company minimum driving standards.
• Ability to define projects, scope, estimates, tasks and manage to final turnover.
• Use of the listed trade tools as part of daily work.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, manage and supervise project staff and ensure adherence to company policies.
• Act as senior liaison with customer representatives.
• Plan, monitor and maintain project profitability and deadlines.
• Manage workload distribution and monitor progress of installation and delivery.
• Review job cost postings and prepare invoices and financial reports.
• Complete project paperwork accurately and on time (timesheets, transfers, orders, etc.).
• Perform quality checks and ensure safety, quality, and process improvements.
• Lead on-site customer meetings and coordinate with Training Department.
• Lead operational meetings and training sessions as required.
• Manage tools and truck inventory and maintenance.
• Complete any other assigned responsibilities.
