Job summary

IES seeks a General Superintendent to lead large, complex projects on-site, ensuring safety, quality and financial performance in alignment with company requirements. The role involves extensive staff management, client liaison, and strict adherence to schedules and budgets across regional projects.

The position requires advanced knowledge of telecommunications construction, ability to travel, and strong Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

Must be proficient in IESOS, daily planning, fiber/cabling standards, terminations, and bare fiber.
Prefer a minimum of five (5) years’ experience of supervisory or managerial experience.
The General Superintendent must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Lead Communications Technician or similar position.
Must be able to travel within the branch territory and/or regional territory as needed.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and MS Project).

Responsibilities

Recruit, hire, train, manage, supervise, promote, discipline and discharge, if necessary, all project related staff. Provide guidance and mentoring to meet all customer and Company goals.
Act as the senior Company liaison for operational interface with customer representative(s).
Plan for, manage, monitor and maintain project profitability to achieve Company goals.
Ensure that deadlines are met per customer requirements.
Manage workload distribution, staffing levels and monitor progress of customer delivery and installation.
Review job cost postings for accuracy and completeness, including invoices, customer collections and financial reporting.
