Job summary

IES is a national provider of industrial products and infrastructure services, seeking a General Superintendent for a large project. You’ll supervise staff, manage safety and quality, and ensure financial and customer delivery goals are met.

The role involves travel, heavy coordination, and on-site leadership with a $7,000 sign-on bonus and overtime availability. Strong planning and telecom/installation expertise are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years supervisory or managerial experience.
• Minimum three years as Lead Communications Technician or similar.
• Minimum five years in telecommunications or related field.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
• Must meet Company driving standards.
• Ability to define a project, create a project scope, estimate and manage to completion.
• Experience using trade tools listed in the job description.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, manage, and supervise project staff.
• Act as senior liaison for customer representation.
• Plan, monitor and maintain project profitability.
• Ensure deadlines are met per customer requirements.
• Manage workload distribution and installation progress.
• Review job costs, invoices and financial reporting.
• Complete IES project paperwork accurately and on time.
• Perform quality checks and prevent outages.
• Lead on-site customer meetings and training sessions.
• Manage tools and truck inventory and maintenance.
