Job summary

ProMach is seeking a Field Service Technician to support installation, maintenance and repair of automated packaging equipment. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, travel extensively across the US, and provide on-site customer training.

Requirements include a Technical Associate degree or equivalent, PLC/PC systems familiarity, and strong communication with a dedication to customer service. This is a full-time, on-site role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

Knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles; willingness to travel 75% within US and sometimes internationally.
Strong customer service focus and good communication skills.
Familiarity with PLC/PC systems is helpful.
Proficiency with Windows and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

Install, integrate, repair and troubleshoot flexible machinery of a complex design requiring high technical skill and independent problem-solving.
Ensure all inspection, testing, quality and operating specifications are met.
Direct or oversee customer's personnel during plant machinery installations/servicing.
May customize machine programs on-site to meet customer needs.
Occasionally maintain 24-hour on-call status and provide technical support by phone.
Provide factory floor support when not on customer service travel.
Provide customer training on operation and service of our machinery.
Assist customers with aftermarket parts needs in the field.
