Job summary

Amcor Flexibles, LLC is seeking a Field Service Engineer within the CTS group to be the primary technical contact at customer locations, supporting filling lines, labeling and automation applications.

The role blends hands-on field work with office duties, traveling to customer sites about 75% of the time, and collaborating with Sales, Plant Quality and Product Development to address performance issues and drive line improvements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Manufacturing or Engineering preferred.
• 2–5 years combined education or related work experience required.
• Travel requirements 75% of the time.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required.
• General working knowledge of electrical systems required.
• Prior mechanical experience with filling lines and equipment preferred.
• Experience in the plastics industry desired.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Maintain both customer-owned and Amcor-owned equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
• Lead in assembly and preventive maintenance of Amcor-owned filling equipment.
• Investigate and assess condition of customer-owned equipment and advise on repairs.
• Assist with customer problems and communicate opportunities to plant/corporate levels.
• Support field trials of Amcor packaging.
• Train customer employees on proper product use and testing methods.
• Collect data for suspected ware issues and root causes.
• Document trip reports and lead to resolution.
