Job summary

Becton, Dickinson and Company seeks a Field Service Engineer 1 to support automated dispensing systems with remote and on-site service across the territory. A company vehicle is provided and overnight travel is possible.

Ideal applicants have 1–3 years of hardware/software support, strong troubleshooting and communication skills, and the ability to work independently while documenting work and managing parts. Eligibility for government facility access may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 3+ years Field Service/Technical Support experience.
• Ability to gain access to DoD/VA/other federal facilities.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, customer service and documentation abilities.
• Willingness to travel; on-call experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and on-site technical support for automated dispensing systems.
• Respond to, prioritize, and resolve work orders within SLAs.
• Diagnose and repair hardware and software components with case ownership.
• Perform preventive maintenance, installations, repairs and calibrations.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and ensure asset care.
• Follow regulatory procedures and document accordingly.
