Job summary

3D Systems is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, relocate, repair and maintain 3D printer hardware at customer sites across the United States. This field-based role requires travel to customer locations and consistent access within driving distance of a major airport.

You will diagnose electronics and mechanical issues, perform preventative maintenance, and provide exceptional service while upholding safety and quality standards for every customer interaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; AA degree from technical school or related; Military training preferred.
• 3+ years related experience preferred.
• Proficient in troubleshooting, configuration, installation and repair of electronic systems and computers, mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of electro/mechanical device repair with attention to detail.
• Organizational, problem solving and customer relation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment repairs for customers, including warranty/contract status checks.
• Analyze customer configurations, materials and software.
• Assess customer proficiency and willingness to perform self-maintenance.
• Execute preventive maintenance as directed by Service Manager.
• Recognize and convey the business value of customers to 3D Systems.
