Job summary

3D Systems is seeking a Field Service Engineer to ensure optimal operation of hardware for our 3D printers at customer sites across Massachusetts. This hands-on role covers installation, relocation, repair and preventative maintenance with travel to client sites.

You will diagnose electronic and mechanical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and contribute to high customer satisfaction while representing 3D Systems professionally.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; AA degree from a technical school or related; Military training preferred
• 3+ years related experience preferred
• Proficient in troubleshooting, configuration, installation and repair of electronic systems and computers
• Ability to travel to customer sites and operate in a field environment

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment repairs for customers, including warranty/contract status checks
• Analyze customer configurations including materials and software
• Assess customer proficiency and willingness to perform self-maintenance
• Execute preventative maintenance tasks as directed by Service Manager
• Represent 3D Systems professionally and communicate effectively with customers
