Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a Field Assembler to join our National Field Service team. You will travel across the United States to assemble heavy mining equipment on customer sites, often staying on the road for six weeks at a time with overtime opportunities.

The role focuses on field mechanical maintenance, welding, and machining, with opportunities to work on rope shovels and electric drive trucks while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on mechanical experience in heavy industry.
• Welding experience, AWS D1.1 preferred, FCAW test required.
• Willingness to travel across the US for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Field Mechanical Maintenance at customer sites.
• Field Welding on heavy equipment.
• Travel throughout the US for on-site support.
