Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a Field Assembler to join our National Field Service team. You will travel across the United States to assemble heavy mining equipment on customer sites, with potential extended tours and overtime.

Responsibilities include on-site assembly of rope shovels and electric drive trucks, field maintenance, welding, and field machining. Ideal candidates have heavy industrial welding experience and willingness to be on the road for weeks.

Qualifications

• AWS D1.1 certification with FCAW welding test.
• MSHA training certification to ensure safety compliance (preferred).
• Rigging training completed to perform lifting and rigging safely.
• Welding experience is identified as a primary skill for this role.

Responsibilities

• Field mechanical maintenance of mining equipment.
• Field welding on-site and in remote locations.
• Travel across the US to provide on-site support.
• Operate heavy machinery safely in field conditions.
• Perform field machining as needed.
