Job summary

Komatsu seeks a Field Assembler to join our National Field Service team, traveling across the United States to assemble heavy mining equipment on customer sites, often six weeks on the road with overtime opportunities.

The role involves field mechanical maintenance, welding, and machining, using welding skills on rope shovels and electric drive truck assemblies across the West and Southwest. Expect long days and stringent safety protocols.

Qualifications

• On-the-road 6 weeks at a time with 13–14 hour days.
• AWS D1.1 certified with FCAW welding test.
• MSHA training certification preferred for safety compliance.
• Rigging training completed for safe lifting and rigging.

Responsibilities

• Field mechanical maintenance and repairs on mining equipment.
• Field welding and field machining in diverse locations.
• Travel nationwide to support customers and troubleshoot.
• Operate heavy equipment safely following regulations.
