Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a Field Assembler to join our National Field Service team in the United States. You will travel extensively to assemble heavy mining equipment on-site, including rope shovels and electric drive truck assemblies, with significant overtime opportunities.

The role demands strong hands-on mechanical skills, experience in mining or similar heavy industries, and the ability to work long road stints (up to six weeks) with 13–14 hour days.

Qualifications

• Welding experience is a primary requirement.
• Experience in field service for heavy mining equipment is preferred.
• AWS D1.1 certification and FCAW welding test completed.

Responsibilities

• Field mechanical maintenance and field welding on mining equipment.
• Travel across the U.S. to provide on-site support and repairs.
• Operate heavy mining equipment safely and compliantly.
• Perform field machining using specialized tools and processes.
• Support equipment builds at customer locations in remote field sites.
