Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a Field Assembler to join our National Field Service team, traveling across the United States to assemble heavy mining equipment on-site, often six weeks on the road with substantial overtime.

You'll perform mechanical assembly, welding, and field maintenance, covering the West and Southwest regions, including Arizona, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, and California, with strict safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate has strong hands-on mechanical experience in heavy industrial environments.
• Welding experience with FCAW is preferred.
• 5G welding experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble new heavy mining equipment on-site, including rope shovels and electric drive truck assemblies.
• Perform mechanical assembly in field environments across the West and Southwest.
• Use mechanical, welding, and heavy industrial skills to support equipment builds.
• Conduct field mechanical maintenance and repairs to high standards.
• Execute welding operations in the field following safety protocols.
• Travel across the U.S. to provide on-site support, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Operate heavy machinery safely and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Perform field machining using specialized tools.
