Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety leader for a fulltime traveling assignment across the United States. You will partner with EH&S and project teams on a single construction project within the business unit’s geographic area and report to the Global Critical Facilities team.

Prior data center or advanced technology project experience is strongly preferred, and you will develop training, enforce safety programs, and drive incident-prevention

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of safety experience.
• CHST certification required or within 2 years of appointment.
• OSHA 30-hour training; maintain First Aid/CPR/BBP/AED.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local EH&S regulations.
• Ability to identify exposures and lead corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead EH&S on a single construction project under HQ policy.
• Manage time, resources, and provide safety leadership.
• Assess safety exposures; develop action plans to mitigate risks.
• Communicate requirements to leadership and teams for adoption.
• Develop site-specific safety trainings for teams.
• Promote safe practices and maintain compliance with regulations.
• Maintain relationships with staff and subcontractors.
• Review safety programs and training records.
• Hold preconstruction safety meetings with subcontractors.
• Ensure timely log of toolbox talks.
• Conduct safety audits and issue corrective action reports.
• Other duties as assigned.
