Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks an experienced Environmental Health & Safety professional to lead EH&S on a traveling data center project. You will enforce safety programs, train crews, and ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations while coordinating with the Global Critical Facilities team.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, CHST certification, OSHA 30 hours, and the ability to travel nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 4+ years construction safety experience or equivalent
• Knowledge of Federal, State and local EH&S regulations
• Strong leadership, communication and training abilities
• Travel to project sites across the United States

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and enforce EH&S on a single construction project per HQ policy
• Manage time and resource allocation and provide safety leadership to the project
• Assess safety practices and implement action plans to mitigate risks
• Communicate requirements for improving performance to project leadership and teams
• Understand site safety trends and work to reduce incident rates
• Develop site-specific safety training for management, employees, subcontractors, and Turner Trade employees
• Promote safe work practices and compliance with regulations
• Maintain relationships with project staff and subcontractor safety reps
• Develop and enforce project safety program and related policies
• Identify unsafe actions and implement corrective actions per regulations
• Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance
• Hold Preconstruction planning and risk meetings with subcontractors
• Lead safety audits and report violations for resolution
• Other duties as assigned
