Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced EH&S leader for traveling roles supporting data center projects across the United States. The role reports to the Global Critical Facilities team and requires prior data center or advanced technology project experience.

You will enforce site safety, lead training, and drive compliance with EH&S policies while coordinating with project leadership and subcontractors. Requires a Bachelor’s degree, CHST, OSHA 30, and travel availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of safety experience
• CHST certification required or within 2 years of appointment
• Completed OSHA 30-hour training and maintain First Aid/CPR/BBP/AED

Responsibilities

• Lead EH&S on a single construction project and enforce safety staffing per HQ policy
• Provide safety leadership; allocate time and resources for the project
• Assess safety practices; develop and implement action plans to mitigate risks
• Communicate requirements to project leadership; ensure adherence to EH&S policies
• Develop site-specific safety training for management, employees, subcontractors, and Turner Trade personnel
• Promote safe work practices; ensure compliance with regulations and owner requirements
• Manage relationships with project staff and subcontractor safety reps
• Develop and enforce project safety program and related policies
• Identify unsafe actions and implement corrective actions with project team
• Develop accountability for subcontractors and trades; review PTPs
• Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance; review safety meetings
• Hold Preconstruction safety meetings and risk mitigation planning with subs
• Ensure training completion; conduct worker orientation; record participation
• Create safety reports; assess metrics; propose improvements over baseline
• Verify subcontractor toolbox talks; conduct safety audits and resolve violations
• Perform other duties as assigned
