Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks an experienced Environmental Health & Safety professional to lead safety on a single construction project within the Critical Facilities-Data Centers division. You will enforce EH&S programs, educate teams on safe work practices, and guide handling of hazardous materials reports and conditions.

Responsibilities include training, compliance reviews, and collaboration with project leadership to improve safety metrics across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• CHST certification required or within 2 years.
• OSHA 30-hour training; maintain First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED.
• Knowledgeable of Federal, State, and local EH&S regulations.
• Ability to identify known and potential safety exposures and lead corrective actions.
• Travel required; access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Lead EH&S on a single construction project per HQ policy.
• Provide safety leadership and allocate time/resources.
• Assess safety practices and develop risk mitigation action plans.
• Communicate requirements to project leadership for adoption and adherence to changes.
• Develop site-specific safety training for project staff and subcontractors.
• Promote safe work practices and conditions across the site.
• Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance with policies and regulations.
• Hold preconstruction planning meetings to review safety programs and risk.
• Develop safety reports and assess metrics for improvement.
