Job summary

Layton Construction seeks a Superintendent to oversee daily job-site operations, including scheduling, production, and procurement of materials, manpower, and equipment. You will supervise all direct labor and oversee contracted work to ensure timely project completion.

This role requires full-time travel on-site to projects nationwide. The location above does not reflect the project site; willingness to travel is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in ground-up commercial projects.
• Reads blueprints accurately and understands building codes.
• Has a valid driver's license and can travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Studies specifications to plan procedures for construction and staffing.
• Interacts with Project Manager to determine project schedule and look-ahead schedules.
• Coordinates pre-construction meetings and mobilization.
• Directs procurement of tools and materials to meet schedules.
• Maintains communication with clients, subcontractors, and staff about progress.
