Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Project Manager responsible for planning, management, procurement, scheduling, and execution of one or more construction projects. Travel nationally and work on-site at project locations to deliver predictable outcomes and maintain Layton's standards of safety and quality.

You will lead the project team, develop the PMP, manage budgets and subcontracting, and coordinate with estimators and clients to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in ground-up commercial projects, particularly light industrial or cold storage.
• Understanding of estimating concepts to verify bids and process change orders.
• Knowledge of construction laws and practices and how to protect the company.
• Familiarity with building codes, plans, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong teamwork; effective verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead project team and manage PMP; organize pre-award and pre-construction meetings.
• Prepare project estimates and project budget management.
• Coordinate with estimating to feed cost data into databases and with client meetings.
• Negotiate change orders and manage cost/profit impact.
• Develop monthly client pay requests and oversee collections.
• Ensure project delivery on schedule, safety, and quality goals.
