Job summary

Hawthorne Health is expanding its Home Network and seeking dual-credentialed Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers for per diem in-home imaging visits across the region. Travel to patient homes is required, with per-visit pay and reimbursement for travel costs.

Professionals must hold active RDCS/RSCS and ARDMS/CCI credentials, maintain BLS, and be comfortable working independently in non-traditional settings. Equipment setup and protocol-compliant imaging are essential.

Qualifications

• Active registration in cardiac and vascular imaging.
• BLS certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Access to a personal computer and reliable internet.
• Ability to travel locally/regionally to participant homes.
• Strong patient communication and bedside manner.
• Self-sufficient in field-based settings.

Responsibilities

• Travel locally or across state lines to patient homes to conduct visits.
• Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment.
• Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participant.
• Perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging studies per protocol.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging.
• Follow sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines.
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper labeling for cardiology review.
• Complete preliminary report with measurements and sonographer comments.
• Maintain high-quality standards consistent with ASE Standards.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment.
