Job summary

Hawthorne Health, Inc. is expanding its Home Network and seeks dual-credentialed Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers to work per diem as independent contractors.

You will travel regionally to patient homes to perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging, with expenses reimbursed per visit and equipment setup responsibilities. Required credentials include RDCS and RCS with RVT/RVS, plus BLS, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently in field settings.

Qualifications

• Active registration in cardiac imaging (RDCS or equivalent)
• Active registration in vascular imaging (RVT/RVS or equivalent)
• BLS certification required
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel locally/regionally
• Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner
• Adaptability in dynamic field-based environments
• Strong time management and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Travel locally or across state lines to patient homes to conduct visits
• Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment
• Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participant
• Perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging studies per protocol
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging
• Follow sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper labeling for cardiology review
• Complete preliminary report with measurements and sonographer comments
• Maintain high-quality standards consistent with ASE Standards
• Perform basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment
