Job summary

Hawthorne Health is expanding its Home Network and seeking dual-credentialed Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers for per diem, in-home imaging visits across the region. You will travel to patient homes to perform ultrasound studies and deliver care in non-traditional settings.

In this independent contractor role, you will be reimbursed per visit, with travel expenses covered as needed. Active cardiac and vascular imaging registrations and BLS are required, along with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Cardiac and vascular imaging registration required (RDCS/RCS plus RVT/RVS).
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel regionally.
• Access to PC and reliable internet; comfortable with digital tools.
• Ability to work independently in field-based settings.
• Strong patient communication and bedside manner.
• Adaptable to dynamic environments and time management.
• ASE standards knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Travel to patient homes regionally to conduct visits.
• Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment.
• Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation.
• Perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging per protocol.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging.
• Follow sponsor and protocol imaging guidelines.
• Label images accurately for cardiology review.
• Prepare preliminary report with measurements and comments.
• Maintain ASE quality standards and troubleshoot equipment.
