American Traveler, LLC. is currently seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry/Step-Down unit in Missouri. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of telemetry nursing experience, active MO (or compact) RN licensure, and ACLS/BLS certifications.

Epic charting experience is required to support cardiac care and monitoring. The role features day shifts on a Magnet-designated teaching hospital with Level I Trauma Center status, patient ratios of 1:4-5, and travel-friendly benefits including housing

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry/Step-Down unit requiring 2+ years of tele experience and ACLS/BLS certification.

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required (must match permanent residence for compact)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience required
• EKG interpretation and cardiac drip management experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Skills required include IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and pacemaker care required
• Experience with chest tube management (Emerson/PleurEvac) and oxygen administration required

Responsibilities

• Telemetry/Step-Down unit in a Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level I Trauma Center status
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5
• Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 7:00 to 19:30
• Can schedule for 36 or 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required within service line to meet facility needs
• Uses Epic charting system
• Provide telemetry and step-down level nursing care including cardiac drip management and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Responsibilities include wound care, IV insulin protocols, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed per 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment
• Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius; local candidates within this radius are not accepted
• Standard travelers may remain for up to 18 months, followed by a required 3-month break in service
• Former permanent BJC or Saint Luke's employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience level
