Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN in California with EPIC experience and current ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications. The role requires an active CA RN license, BLS, and 2+ years of acute care experience.

Day shifts with 36 or 48 hour options, and responsibilities include nursing care, care coordination, discharge planning, and patient education. Local candidates preferred; housing allowance and travel-related considerations may apply per assignment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in CA.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications.
• BSN preferred; acute care experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of specialty RN experience with recent practice.
• No prior adverse licensure actions.

Responsibilities

• Telemetry unit care in an acute care hospital.
• Day shift 07:00–19:30 with 36 or 48 hour options.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• Deliver nursing care per standards and nursing process.
• Supervise staff and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Collect/analyze data to develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with patients/families/physicians for safe care.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education.

Requirements

• Current ACLS certification from an approved vendor
• Current PALS certification from an approved vendor
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• BSN preferred
• Acute care facility experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of specialty experience, with recent experience within the last 3 months
• Candidates with a prior adverse licensure action will not be considered

Responsibilities

• Telemetry unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 07:00 AM-07:30 PM, with 36 or 48 hour options
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Delivers coordinated nursing care according to established standards and the nursing process
• Supervises and directs assigned nursing staff and coordinates care with other disciplines
• Collects and analyzes patient data to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure safe, humane, and caring treatment
• Participates in discharge planning to support continuity of care
• Provides patient and family education as part of care delivery
• Holiday RTO will not be approved
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will be automatically declined
• Local candidates accepted, with no radius rule and local rates matching travel rates
