American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown unit travel assignment on the night shift (19:00–7:30). The role demands recent bedside RN experience with vasopressor titration skills in a high-acuity setting.

Requirements include active MO or compact RN license, BLS/ACLS/NIHSS, and at least 2 years of RN experience with recent bedside work. Applicants must have traveled recently and be willing to work 1:4, with Navy scrubs and no first-week RTO.

Formación

• Active MO or compact RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• Must have worked at the bedside within the last 6 months.
• ICU or high acuity stepdown experience required due to high unit acuity.
• Recent travel experience within the last 6 months required.
• Skilled in titrating vasopressors, sedation medications, and insulin drips.
• Experience managing trach vents, arterial lines, external pacemakers, and chest tubes.
• Trauma Level II experience required.
• Epic charting experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Acute care hospital Step Down unit.
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30).
• Patient ratio of 1:4.
• Weekend requirement of 2 shifts every other weekend.
• No on-call responsibilities.
• Float to lower acuity floors within scope as needed.
• Uses Epic charting system.
• Care for high-acuity stepdown patients including cardiac, neuro, renal, and post-surgical cases.
• Manage advanced interventions such as vasopressor titration, ventilator care, and chest tube management.
• Navy scrub color required.
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible.
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler.
• Standard travelers may stay for an 18-month period and must take a 3-month break afterward.
• No RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment.
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position.
