Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Telemetry RN for a night shift position in Illinois. The role requires high-risk telemetry experience, an active IL RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications.

You will support a 40-bed Telemetry unit in a Magnet hospital, with patient ratios of 1:5–6 and every-other-weekend shifts; travel eligibility is encouraged. Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, IV therapy, and central line care; EPIC charting is used.

Qualifications

• Active IL RN license required in hand at time of consideration.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with strong cardiac background.
• High-risk telemetry experience required.
• Cardiac drip management, sheath pull, and central line management experience required.
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management, cardiac monitoring and emergency response.
• IV therapy/phlebotomy and central line care.
• Respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube care, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy care.
• Pre/post cardiac surgery care and wound care/wound vac preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acute care Magnet hospital setting on a 40-bed Telemetry unit within a 222-bed facility.
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:45-7:15) with 1:5–6 patient ratios.
• Requires every other weekend work, ~6 weekends per 6-week schedule.
• No on-call responsibilities; float within scope to all inpatient units across both campuses.
• EPIC charting system used for documentation.
• 36 guaranteed hours per week.
• Provide telemetry nursing care including cardiac monitoring and emergency response.
• Manage cardiac drips (no titration) and administer procedural sedation monitoring.
• Navy scrub color required.
• No parking cost at facility.

• Standard travelers may work up to an 18-month period before requiring a 3-month break in service
