American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN to join a Stepdown unit. MO or Compact licensure is required, with BLS/ACLS certifications and 1–2 years in stepdown nursing.

The role includes night shifts, 1:3 patient ratios, and on-call weekends, with Epic charting and potential charge nurse duties. Travel-friendly position; first-time travelers welcome. Responsibilities include float rotations to related units and caring for isolation patients, including COVID-19 cases.

Responsabilidades

• Night shift 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, 3x12 hours.
• On-call every 3rd weekend.
• Float to med tele, med surg, rehab as needed.
• Use Epic for charting.
• May serve as charge nurse when needed.
• Must handle isolation cases including COVID-19.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown unit position requiring MO or compact licensure and prior stepdown nursing experience.

Requirements

• Active RN license (MO or Compact)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
• 1-2 years of recent stepdown nursing experience required
• Experience with drips including Cardizem, Amio, Heparin, and Dobutamine
• Experience with special procedures/equipment including Thoracentesis, Paracentesis, Bipap, and Airvo

Responsibilities

• Stepdown unit within a short-term acute care hospital
• 1:3 patient ratios
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• On-call required every 3rd weekend
• Float rotation to med tele, med surg, and rehab units as needed
• Uses Epic for charting
• May be scheduled for charge nurse duties when needed
• Must be comfortable caring for isolation patients, including COVID-19 cases
• Black scrub color required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• No local candidates within a 60-mile radius of the facility will be accepted
• All time-off requests must be submitted with the initial application
