Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN for a night shift in a cardiac care position. Requires active NC or compact RN license and certifications (BLS, ACLS, NIHSS). Experience in telemetry and cardiac nursing is essential. The role includes medsurg/telemetry overflow, float duties, and a 5-6 patient load.

Night shifts run 7p–7a (3x12s). First-time travelers are welcome; local candidates are also considered. Housing, licensure, and travel reimbursements are among the offered benefits.

Qualifications

• Active NC or compact RN license is required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Telemetry and cardiac nursing experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Telemetry unit functions as medsurg/medtele overflow with some cardiac patients.
• Care for patients with stable chest pain rule-outs, A-Fib with RVR, CHF, and stroke rule-outs.
• Occasional Cardizem and amiodarone drips as ordered.
• Maintain 5-6 patient ratio on night shift.
• Night shifts: 7pm–7am, 3x12-hour shifts; will float within hospital.
• Local candidates accepted at same rate; no radius restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Telemetry unit functioning primarily as a medsurg/medtele overflow unit with some cardiac patients
• Patient population includes stable chest pain rule-outs, A-Fib with RVR, CHF, and stroke rule-out patients
• Occasionally manages Cardizem (max rate of 15) and amiodarone drips
• 5-6 patient ratio
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts, 7p-7a
• Candidates will float within the hospital
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• No radius restrictions
• RTO must be listed on application and approved prior to confirmation
• Background policy does not permit DUI or DWI within the past year; other findings reviewed case by case
• Former staff must have been separated for at least one year to be eligible for consideration
