American Traveler is hiring a Behavioral Health RN for an inpatient psychiatric facility in Massachusetts. Active MA RN license and BLS are required; ACLS preferred. Must have at least 1 year of inpatient psychiatric experience and be willing to care for adults and children aged 5-17 across multiple units.

The assignment runs 13 weeks with 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM shifts and requires biweekly orientation. Housing allowance, travel reimbursement, and other traveler benefits are provided.

Formación

• Active RN license valid in MA
• BLS certification required (AHA)
• ACLS preferred
• HWC certification available on site
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient psychiatric RN experience
• Must be willing to work with both adult and pediatric patients
• Graduate of an accredited BSN, ADN, or nursing diploma program
• Must be available to attend scheduled in-person orientation on specified dates
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Responsabilidades

• Inpatient behavioral health hospital with 104 beds across five units serving Adult, Child/Adolescent, and Geriatric populations
• Units include BH IP Unit 1, BH IP Unit 2, BH Adolescent, and BH Geriatric
• Patient ratios of 1:8 variable, with lower ratios for Geriatric and Pediatric units
• Patient population spans ages 5-17 (12 beds), two adult units (24 beds each), and geriatric unit (24 beds)
• Common diagnoses include schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorder, substance use disorder, and anxiety
• Uses Cerner EHR
• 13-week assignment with a 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM shift schedule
• Weekend work required every other weekend
• Call requirements are as needed
• Floating required
• Blocked scheduling not available
• Provide direct and indirect patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Develop nursing care plans in coordination with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians, nursing supervisors, and co-workers
• Participate in discharge planning process

• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
• Orientation occurs biweekly on Mondays or Tuesdays
