Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiovascular Pre-Op position in Texas. The role requires TX or compact RN license, ACLS/BLS, and 1 year of CV pre-op experience, with IV access and cardiac monitoring skills.

The position is based in a 17-bed Cardiovascular Pre-Op unit within a Heart Tower hospital. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), travel and licensure reimbursements, and more.

Qualifications

• Active TX license and compact license required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiovascular pre-op
• IV accessing and cardiac monitoring skills required
• Pre-Op and/or PACU experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for cath lab, CVOR, and EP lab procedures
• Recover patients with moderate sedation from lab procedures
• Document in Meditech EMR
• Monday–Friday, three 12-hour shifts starting between 5 AM and 8 AM
• May float to other areas of the hospital as needed
• Work in a 17-bed Cardiovascular Pre-Op unit within a Heart Tower hospital setting
• Maintain standard hospital policies and dress code (Ceil Blue or Royal Blue)
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiovascular Pre-Op position requiring a TX or compact RN license and prior IV access and cardiac monitoring experience.

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in the specialty required
• IV accessing and cardiac monitoring skills required
• Previous Pre-Op and/or PACU experience preferred
• No work history gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Work in a 17-bed Cardiovascular Pre-Op unit within a Heart Tower hospital setting
• Unit staffed with 1 charge nurse and 8 RNs on day shift, no night shift coverage
• Patient ratio of 3 to 1
• Prep patients for cath lab, CVOR, and EP lab procedures
• Recover patients with moderate sedation from lab procedures
• Utilizes Dash monitors and EKG machines
• Documents in Meditech EMR
• Monday through Friday schedule, three 12-hour shifts starting between 5 AM and 8 AM
• No weekends or on-call requirements
• May float to other areas of the hospital as needed
• Work within a close-knit team known for strong collaboration
• Scrub attire in Ceil Blue or Royal Blue required
• Unit follows standard hospital policies and guidelines
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
