Job summary

American Traveler, LLC is seeking an experienced PACU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Texas. Requires an active TX or compact RN license, ACLS, and at least 1 year of PACU and ICU experience.

US SSN and DOB are required; one professional reference (two for FL or MO) and no gaps over 90 days in the past year. The PACU unit is a 26-bed area adjacent to the OR, using Meditech EMR and following ASPAN guidelines.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in TX or a compact jurisdiction.
• ACLS certification required.
• At least 1 year PACU experience.
• ICU experience required.
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration.
• One professional reference required (two for Florida or Missouri).
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• PACU unit on a 26-bed floor adjacent to the OR.
• Care for post-anesthesia patients across multiple surgical specialties.
• Use Meditech EMR for patient documentation.
• Handle varied shifts including 9a-9p and 10a-10p; on-call nights/weekends.
• Floating to Day Surgery as needed.
• Maintain ASPAN guidelines and professional attire.

American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring ICU and PACU experience with a TX or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent PACU experience required
• ICU experience required
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required (two required for Florida or Missouri candidates)
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• PACU unit located next to the OR on the 2nd floor of the main hospital
• 26-bed unit with varied day/night staffing including a charge nurse and float nurse on days, and closed on-call coverage of 2 PACU nurses at night
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Supports general, neuro, oncology, orthopedic, and vascular surgical procedures
• Varied shift times including 9a-9p and 10a-10p
• On-call required one night per week and two weekends during the 13-week contract
• Floating to Day Surgery required
• Block scheduling not available
• Provide post-anesthesia recovery care across a variety of surgical specialties
• Follows ASPAN guidelines
• Scrub attire required in royal blue or hospital scrubs
• State-of-the-art equipment with an experienced and supportive staff team
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
