Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel assignment in Omaha, Nebraska. This 13-week travel role begins ASAP, with 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Preferred PCCN Certification.
• NIHSS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data; responds to abnormalities.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac procedures and examinations.
• Maintains patient comfort and safety for telemetry patients.
• Documents nursing history and physical assessments for telemetry patients and notifies physicians as needed.
• Initiates patient education plans focused on cardiac health and lifestyle changes.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive telemetry patient care.
• Adheres to hospital safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
