Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU for a 14-week assignment in Omaha, NE. The role centers on caring for patients moving from ICU to medical-surgical units with telemetry monitoring and cardiac-focused interventions.

You will work 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, on a travel assignment with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits. Start date is 09/28/2026, duration 14 weeks, and licensure in good standing is required.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Certification in PCCN/NIHSS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data and respond to abnormalities.
• Administer prescribed meds and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
• Assist physician during cardiac procedures and prepare equipment.
• Maintain patient comfort and safety for telemetry patients.
• Document nursing history and physical assessments for telemetry patients.
• Educate patients on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle changes.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Observe, document, and report patient status to supervisors or physicians.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
• Support other duties within scope of practice as needed.
